Cantina Carboni's 'Mas Balente' Isola Dei Nuraghi IGT is a unique red wine made from a blend of Sardinia's indigenous grape varieties of which only 198 are made annually.
The wine is an ode to the Isola Dei Nuraghi IGT region and is a product of the close relationship between the winemaker and the area. The wine stems from the idea of making the most of the region's unique characteristics and features to share with the rest of the world. However, the rest of the world should be taken with a grain of salt as the super wine is particularly exclusive with an annual run of 198 bottles. The grapes are picked manually and go through a rigorous selection process. After harvesting, they are gently crushed and pressed after which vinification begins. Maturation takes place in oak barrels and lasts 24 months after which the wine matures in bottle for a further 18 months.
The wine comes directly from the winemakers, they send the bottles themselves.
