Product description
The "Monsaide" is a special red wine, named after a place that Marcel Zanolari’s grandfather, Giovanni, called "Monsaide" – the vineyard where this wine entirely comes from. Located in the Piedmont region, it’s made from red grape varieties with a yield of about 80 quintals per hectare. This wine carries a family legacy, rooted in tradition and tied to clay-limestone soils with southwest exposure, ensuring perfect grape ripening.
With its ruby-red color and garnet hues, the "Monsaide" offers a warm and robust profile. The scent reveals notes of red fruit and roses, giving an elegant and inviting first impression. The winemaking is all natural: after destemming and pressing, it ferments without added yeasts in steel tanks, with a three-week skin soak. This highlights the pure taste of fruit and terroir, followed by 10 months of aging in tanks and 6 months in the bottle (75 cl).
In the mouth, this wine is bold and warm, with soft, sweet tannins that are well-balanced. The traditional Guyot pruning with short cuts and low yields ensures concentrated flavors. It pairs wonderfully with hearty dishes like grilled meat or pasta with rich sauces. Serve at 16-18 °C to enjoy its robust elegance – a wine telling the story of Monsaide and a family’s passion.
