The wine shines in a bright, ruby red colour and seduces with aromas that reflect the warmth of the South. Spicy notes mingle with memories of sour cherries, plums and wild berries, while the unmistakable cherry completes the scent. Harmony emerges with every sip: silky tannins are supported by a fresh, sensual softness, with a long finish in which sweet spices dominate.
With an alcohol content of 14% and a nine-month maturation in French oak barrels, followed by bottle maturation, this wine is an excellent choice with dishes of local cuisine. Monte del Vento comes into its own alongside roasted red meat, game or aged cheeses. Serve it at 18°C to fully enjoy this refined expression of Primitivo.
