The Montecucco Rosso DOC is a red wine made from 70% Sangiovese and 30% Ciliegiolo that goes well with stews and mature cheeses.
The manual harvest of the grapes takes place in September. The grapes are destemmed and bruised and macerated with the skins for about 10 days before fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine has a ruby red colour with light purple reflections. On the nose, the wine has hints of fresh red fruit with a lively and structured experience on the palate. The wine comes into its own best when opened and aired in time with a hearty meal.
The wine comes directly from the winemakers, they send the bottles themselves.
