The Namastè Barbera d'Asti DOCG is a beautiful red wine from the hills of Castel Boglione. Made from 100% Barbera grapes from vineyards more than 60 years old, this wine offers an authentic expression of the terroir. The clay-limestone-rich soil and western exposure at an altitude of 220 meters produce grapes of exceptional quality. The grapes are hand-picked in the third week of September and undergo traditional vinification in stainless steel tanks. After two years of aging, the wine is marketed with a refined alcohol content between 14 and 14.5%.
When poured, the bright, deep ruby color immediately catches the eye. The Namastè seduces the nose with intense aromas of ripe red fruits such as cherry, blackberry and plum, complemented by subtle floral notes of rose and violets. On the palate, the wine offers particular complexity with pleasant, fresh acidity and a nice balance of fruity and floral nuances. The wine is best enjoyed at a serving temperature of 16 to 18 degrees Celsius.
This versatile Barbera is delicious to enjoy on its own, but also comes into its own with a variety of dishes. Serve the Namastè with rich pasta dishes, grilled chicken or a tasty bruschetta. Also, when paired with soft cheeses such as gorgonzola and mozzarella or with a drink board with cheeses and fine meats, this wine knows how to surprise again and again.
