The 'Neale' Cannonau di Sardegna DOC from Cantine di Orgosolo is a red wine made from Cannonau and Muristellu and is best enjoyed with pastas, casseroles, grilled meats, and mild cheeses.
The Neale from Cantina di Orsogolo has a ruby red colour that tends to garnet red over time. It offers bright aromas of tobacco and spice, with a juicy and crisp fruitiness on tasting. The elegant tannins lead to a tense and flavourful finish.
The grapes come from the valleys of Locoe and Sorasi and the high-altitude terrains of "Sa Lacana" in Orgosolo. This results in a high-quality blend of 85% Cannonau and 15% Muristellu (Bovale). After careful manual harvesting and vinification, the wine matures for about six months in stainless steel tanks before bottling.
With an alcohol content of 14.5% and best served at 18-20°C, Neale is perfect to pair with pasta, stews, grilled meats and mild cheeses.
