The Negroamaro Rosso IGT Salento is a red wine made from 100% Negroamaro and is best drunk with lasagne or a cocktail plate.
The wine has a ruby red colour with purple reflections. The wine is balanced, soft and has good persisence. The grapes are harvested by hand after which they are taken to the cellar in crates. Here, vinification and maceration take place at a controlled temperature of 28-30 °C for 8-10 days. The wine is aged in steel tanks for 8 months after which it spends another 4 months in French oak barrels. The wine has an alcohol content of 13% and is at its best if drunk between 15 and 18 degrees.
