Passito Orange IGP Terre Sicilia is an irresistible dessert wine made from Zibibbo grapes, from the sunny hills of Salemi in western Sicily. The vineyards are 260 metres above sea level on sandy soils perfect for growing this aromatic grape variety. Thanks to the manual harvest in September, only the most ripe and concentrated grapes are selected.
Winemaking begins with gentle pressing and a prolonged 20-hour skin maceration at low temperature (5 °C), followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at 16-18 °C. The wine then ages for 90 days in tanks and a further 2 months in bottle. With an alcohol content of 14% and an impressive residual sugar of 120 g/l, this passito delivers a lush and sweet taste experience.
In the glass, the wine shines in bright gold with slight reflections. The nose is intense and harmonious with notes of apricot, while the palate is rich and supple with hints of honey. This wine is ideal with all types of desserts and confiseries, and comes out perfectly paired with fruit or ice cream. Serve chilled at 12 °C for the best taste experience.
