The Monferrato DOC Nebbiolo from Poggio is a beautiful, authentic red wine from Piemonte, perfect for lovers of robust and balanced wines. This special wine is made entirely from 100% Nebbiolo grapes, which are carefully hand-picked in small baskets. Thanks to this careful selection, the grapes retain their pure character and optimal quality.
After the harvest, the wine undergoes a traditional vinification process. The grapes are destemmed and gently pressed, followed by fermentation in cement tanks. Then, a slow maceration of 25 to 30 days takes place, giving the wine its deep color, complex aromas, and robust structure. The wine then ages for 18 to 24 months in large wooden barrels, contributing to its refined and elegant character.
The Perchèno Monferrato Rosso from Poggio is an expressive and well-structured wine with a refined bouquet. The nose reveals earthy tones, along with hints of leather, tar, and ripe red fruit. On the palate, you taste the firm tannins and a beautiful balance between power and elegance. The long, soft finish makes this wine an excellent choice for Nebbiolo lovers.
