The Rosato Pisoni pays homage to the rich rosé tradition of Trentino Alto Adige, where this style of wine is known as "kretzer". The Pisoni family used to make rosé from the historic Schiava grape, but today they exclusively use Merlot sourced from vineyards in Cesure. The juice remains in contact with the skins for 24 hours, after which it is separated and a natural fermentation takes place. The result is a rosé of bright pink colour, fresh and light, yet with a surprisingly good structure.
Made entirely from Merlot, this wine is aged for three to four months in steel tanks, followed by one to two months of bottle aging. In the glass, it shows crystal clear and elegant pink. The bouquet is subtly floral, while the taste is fresh, dry and light-bodied - ideal for summer moments or as an accompaniment to light dishes.
With its alcohol content of 12% and a delicate balance between acidity and dry extracts, the Rosato Pisoni is the perfect choice for those looking for a versatile rosé. It goes well with refined fish dishes, bouillabaisse, grilled seafood or simply as an alternative to a beer with a good pizza. A fresh summer topper with a Trentino soul.
