      Pieve Caggiole is a masterful Vino Nobile that brings together freedom, tradition and terroir in a layered, handcrafted wine full of elegance and expression.

      Product description

      Pieve Caggiole is a wine that reflects the deep connection between wine and freedom. A value that has been central to the Tiberini family for generations. Seven generations of experience come together in this special Vino Nobile, where each vineyard is harvested individually by hand, vinification and ageing take place separately and the final blending is done only after two years. In this way, each grape, each plot, is given space to express itself fully. An ode to the freedom of expression of the Podere Le Caggiole estate.

      The wine consists of 90% Prugnolo Gentile, 5% Canaiolo Nero and 5% Mammolo. Maturation takes place in French oak barrels of 20, 25 and 34 hectolitres for around 24 months. This method aims to bring out the original characteristics of the Montepulciano terroir, without disguising them with wood. In the glass, the wine shows a ruby red colour with garnet hues and a subtle violet glow. The bouquet opens with ripe red fruits, clearly referring to the local plum variety Coscia di Monaca. In addition, notes of spices, tobacco and leather are present. The palate is full and powerful, lingers long on the palate and is nicely balanced thanks to supple tannins and a solid structure.

      Pieve Caggiole is a harmonious and elegant wine that goes perfectly with pasta with rich sauces, roasted or grilled red meat, game dishes and aged cheeses. But even without food, this wine is a real experience - intriguing, layered and expressive. The ideal serving temperature is 18°C, preferably after a brief aeration. A wine that captures the soul of Montepulciano in every sip.
