The 'Pistin' Langhe Rosso is a red wine made from Nebbiolo, Barbera and dolcetto that goes perfectly with stuffed pasta, red meat and more elaborate main dishes.
The wine takes its name from the Piedmontese word 'Pistin' meaning precise or exact. This wine accurately and sincerely reflects the three grape varieties it is composed of: 70% Nebbiolo, 20% Barbera and 10% Dolcetto.
This wine is fresh and youthful, but certainly not superficial. It combines the austerity and complexity of Nebbiolo with the freshness and acidity of Barbera. You also taste the crispness of Dolcetto, with the fruity characteristics well preserved thanks to the aging in concrete.
The harvesting of the grapes is done by hand and they are carefully placed in perforated crates. Vinification takes place in steel tanks, during which the wine ferments. The wine is then aged in concrete vats for 5 months, followed by a further 3 months in bottle. The 'Pistin' is a versatile red wine with a long storage potential while also being just right to drink at a younger age. The alcohol content is 14% vol.
