The 'Pocheseste' Vino Bianco Barricato is a special white wine that takes its name from the "Poche ceste", or the "few baskets" in which the hand-picked grapes are kept. In fact, this wine is produced in limited quantities, and only in years when the quality is exceptionally high.
A part of the fermentation takes place in oak barrels, which has a distinctive influence on the wine. The result is a wine with an intense aroma of spice and vanilla. On tasting, it is persistent and enveloping, with a warm flavour and notes of pepper and ripe fruit.
