Product description
Poe Rava Rotwein Trocken is a powerful and expressive red wine, created from the harmonious fusion of the Cabernet Cubin and Merlot grape varieties. The Merlot adds roundness and a juicy, berry-like fruitiness, while the Cabernet Cubin provides firm structure and a robust tannic backbone. The result is a wine with both power and elegance - ideal for lovers of characterful red wines with depth.
The grapes come from the Deidesheimer Herrgottsacker vineyard plot (not listed on the label) and were harvested very late and carefully by hand. After destemming, fermentation took place via open skin soaking in traditional vats. Subsequently, the wine matured for 16 months on fine yeasts in 500-litre French oak tonneaux in the winery's historic vaulted cellar, providing complexity, roundness and a subtle wood touch.
In the nose, dark forest fruits such as blackcurrant and blackberry dominate, with hints of spice and graphite. On the palate, the wine presents itself full and powerful, with a tight and balanced profile. The Cabernet Cubin grape, visually remarkably similar to the rare Tahitian pear Poe Rava, lends this wine its name and striking character. An impressive cuvée with an alcohol content of 13% vol, ideal with roasted meats, stews and mature cheeses.
Wine purchased via Onwine comes directly from the winery. All wineries pack the bottles themselves and hand them over to our shipping partner. Onwine works with boxes the size of 6 or 12 bottles.
To guarantee safe delivery, it is therefore also a requirement that orders are always made in multiples of 6 bottles.
The following shipping costs apply:
6 bottles at the same winery: €6,-
12+ bottles at the same winery: No shipping costs
You can order from several wineries at the same time. The above shipping costs apply to each individual winery.
