Cantina Pisoni's Teroldego is a true ode to one of Trentino's most authentic grape varieties. This indigenous variety, closely related to Lagrein and with Pinot as its distant ancestor, has been successfully grown in the region for centuries. On the sandy soils of the Pradi area and under the careful pergola system, this grape thrives optimally, producing a ruby red wine that is rich in polyphenols and excels in both freshness and structure.
After a 12-month ageing in barriques and six months in bottle, the wine develops an elegant bouquet of floral and forest fruit aromas. On the palate, it presents itself firm, round and harmonious, with the right tannic structure that gives it a broad gastronomic character. Thanks to these characteristics, the Teroldego is not just an accompaniment to the meal, but becomes part of the dish itself.
The wine suits Trentino's regional cuisine perfectly. It comes into its own with rich meat dishes, traditional goulash, or even a plate of "canederli" with gravy. Paired with the iconic Teroldego risotto, it becomes a dish in itself: an expression of terroir, tradition and character, bottled with finesse.
