The Primitivo Rosso IGT Salento is a red wine made from 100% Primitivo that goes perfectly with pizza, pasta and light meat dishes.
The wine has a ruby red colour with hints of ripe berries, cherries and plums on the nose. The wine has notes of vanilla, cocoa and coffee due to 4 months in oak barrels. On the palate, it is a soft velvety but persistent wine with elegant tannins. The grapes are harvested manually after which vinification and maceration take place at controlled temperatures. The wine then goes into steel tanks for 8 months after which it undergoes several more months in French oak barrels. The wine has an alcohol content of 14% and should be served at room temperature.
The wine comes directly from the winemakers, they send the bottles themselves.
