Product description

The Valdobbiadene DOCG Follalba Superiore di Cartizze Brut is a sparkling wine (prosecco) made from a blend of Glera, Verdiso and Perera grapes that pairs perfectly with seafood, shellfish and anything from the sea.
With its straw yellow colour, fine and persistent perlage and creamy head, this wine offers rich complexity. On the nose, you immediately recognise fruity aromas of pear, apple, white peach but also more floral notes such as acacia. On the palate, the wine is consistent, soft and very balanced. The flavour is deep and lingers for an average length of time.
The grapes for this wine are harvested by hand in Santo Stefano, Valdobbiadene. The vineyards are located on south-facing hills, at an altitude between 250 and 280 metres above sea level. The soils are shallow and clayey with limestone and marl. After manual harvest and selection of the grapes, vinification takes place with controlled fermentation and maturation in cement tanks.
The wine undergoes second fermentation according to the Metodo Martinotti, with an alcohol content of 11% vol and residual sugar of 9 g/l.
