RaboRazzo is a unique sparkling wine made from 50% Rabosa Bianca (also known as Grapariol) and 50% Raboso Piave. These local Piave grapes have high acidity, which makes them particularly suitable for a “pas dosé” wine, perfect as an aperitif. As with rosé-Prosecco, Raboso comes out best in sparkling wines thanks to its fresh acidity, which is too pronounced for still wines but adds a refreshing character in bubbles. The Raboso grape, rich in tannins, adds depth of flavor, making it different from the white varieties. The name RaboRazzo combines “Rabo,” from the grape varieties, and “Razzo” (Italian for “space shuttle”), referring to opening a bottle with an explosion of bubbles and to our ambition that Piave wines will reach far and gain international acclaim. Serve this wine at a temperature of 4 - 6 degrees.
