The 'Reciso Terre di Pisa Sangiovese DOC is a wine made from 100% Sangiovese that goes perfectly with stews, game and red meat.
The wine has an intense red colour with on the nose a complex bouqet of aromas with hints of wild berries, ripe fruit, leather and coffee. The mouthfeel is dry with very pronounced tannins. The grapes are harvested in the first 10 days of October after which vinification begins. The grapes are macerated with the skins for 5 weeks after which the wine is aged in large Slovenian oak barrels for over 2 years before maturing in bottle for another 1 year.
The wine comes directly from the winemakers, they send the bottles themselves.
