The Riesling Semisweet 2023 is a full-bodied, fruity white wine made from 100% Riesling and is best enjoyed with oriental or spicy dishes, or just on its own.
The 2023 Riesling Semisweet offers a rich aromatic experience with notes of ripe Riesling berries, peaches and honeydew melon. On the palate, this wine feels full and juicy, with lively fruity components of peach, orange, subtle honey notes and a hint of ginger. The balance between acid and residual sugar, at a ratio of 1:6, ensures that the wine is not overly sweet, but rather fruity and elegant. This makes it a perfect choice for both a meal companion and on its own, where enjoyment is guaranteed.
The wine is fully raised in stainless steel tanks, which emphasizes its freshness and fruity character. The terroir consists mainly of Gipskeuper, which contributes to the wine's minerality and structure. With an alcohol content of 10.5% and a drinking pleasure that extends to 2033, this is a wine that can be enjoyed both now and long term.
The 2023 vintage experienced extreme drought at the beginning, followed by heavy rainfall. This eventually led to a warm Indian summer, which perfectly supported the ripening of the grapes, resulting in an impressive and harmonious Riesling.
