Product description
The 'Saignée' Rosé Trocken 2023 is a robust, fruity rose made primarily from Lemberger and is best enjoyed with blinis with smoked salmon, or on a summer evening on the terrace with your friends.
Saignée Rosé is a robust rosé wine made primarily from the Lemberger grape. The wine is produced using the traditional French “Saignée” method, which involves draining some of the juice during the puree fermentation of red wines, a process that gives the wine its name, referring to “bloodletting.” This technique results in a powerful rosé with rich fruit notes of vineyard peach, red currant and red apple.
The wine is fully aged in stainless steel barrels on a base of mostly Gypsum Keuper, and has an alcohol content of 11.0%. The best drinking pleasure this wine offers until 2030 at a temperature of 6-8°C. Vintage characteristics: The year 2023 initially brought extreme drought, which was followed by heavy rainfall and finally a warm Indian summer. These conditions resulted in a distinctively fruity and fresh rosé. Wine pairing: This Saignée Rosé comes out particularly well on the patio on warm summer evenings or served with blinis with crème fraîche and smoked salmon.
Wine purchased via Onwine comes directly from the winery. All wineries pack the bottles themselves and hand them over to our shipping partner. Onwine works with boxes the size of 6 or 12 bottles.
To guarantee safe delivery, it is therefore also a requirement that orders are always made in multiples of 6 bottles.
The following shipping costs apply:
6 bottles at the same winery: €6,-
12+ bottles at the same winery: No shipping costs
You can order from several wineries at the same time. The above shipping costs apply to each individual winery.
