Montalbera's 'San Carlo' Moscato d'Asti DOCG is an intense white wine made from 100% Moscato and is best enjoyed with a delicious fruity dessert, or fruit on its own.
In Castiglione Tinella, located in the picturesque Langhe region of Piedmont, this delicious white wine is produced with care. Our vineyards are nurtured according to the low Guyot pruning system, with 8-9 buds on the fruiting vine, allowing the White Moscato grapes to thrive perfectly in the Mediterranean climate.
With a focus on the white winemaking method, our grapes undergo a careful process of gentle pressing, decanting and storage at regulated temperatures. Fermentation takes place in tanks, resulting in a refreshing and lively wine.
On pouring, you see a beautiful golden colour that carries the promise of a sunny and refreshing experience with every sip.
On smelling the wine, you are greeted by typical aromas of wisteria and lime blossom, mixed with notes of peach and apricot, and a hint of balsamic. It is like walking through a blossoming orchard in full bloom.
The palate reveals the typical intensity of Moscato grapes, with refreshing notes of sage and orange blossom enlivening the palate. This wine is a real pleasure to drink, with its lively character and refined flavours that make every sip a new discovery.
