The Roero Arneis DOCG San Michele 2023 is a white wine from the San Michele area in Canale, Piedmont, Italy, made from 100% Arneis grapes, hand-picked from vineyards with coarse sand and sandstone. It’s vinified in steel tanks at 18 °C for 15 days, keeping its fresh and pure character. With its straw-yellow color and 14% alcohol, it brings a lively taste of the Roero terroir.
Its scent is intense and lasting, with clear hints of apricot and apple, finished with soft chamomile notes that round off the bouquet. This aroma mixes fruity freshness with a gentle floral finesse, giving it an inviting and versatile personality. It’s a wine that excites your senses and calls for a sip.
On the tongue, the San Michele is savory, well-structured, and harmonious, with a dry finish (0.5 g/l sugar) and total acidity of 5.90 g/l. It pairs wonderfully with appetizers, pasta dishes, and risotto, but also seafood, where its balance lifts the flavors. Serve it at 10-12 °C in a Bordeaux bottle with a natural cork and enjoy its aging potential of 4 years.
