Nera Vini's 'Satiro' Rosso di Valtellina DOC is a red wine made from Nebbiolo, Pignola and Rossola that goes perfectly with pasta, risotto and fish. The local Nebbiolo grapes called 'Chiavennasca' are grown in a classic valtellina vineyard between 250 and 700 altitude. The grapes are hand-picked and, after fermentation on the 'Capello sommerso' method, aged for 6 months in oak barrels before finishing in steel tanks. The wine has a medium aging of 3 to 4 years. The wine is best enjoyed with light pasta and fish dishes.
