The platform facilitates a direct transaction between winemakers and wine lovers. ONWINE allows winemakers to sell directly to wine lovers, without intermediaries or importers. This way, smaller winemakers can sell quality wines internationally without relying on an intermediary with its own interests.
ONWINE takes care of all tax obligations related to excise duty and taxes in the country of receipt. ONWINE also organizes the transport from Winemaker to Glass. The winemaker is fully relieved of responsibilities, while the wine lover can order their favorite wine directly from the producer to their doorstep within a few clicks.
The winemaker has complete autonomy and determines the price and supply. In this way, they receive a fair price for their product. Because our business model has no unnecessary overhead, these prices are attractive for the wine lover and are close to the price you would pay on-site in the cantina.
How does it work exactly?
On the platform, each winemaker has their own kind of store. In this store, you will find information about the winemaker and, of course, the range of wines. The winemaker fully determines how they are presented and what offering is available at what price. As a wine lover, you can find all the information you need here and can assemble a box of 6 (or a multiple thereof) by placing it in your shopping cart.

If you’re not sure which wines you would like best but think it would be great to order directly from a winemaker in a specific region, choose a tasting package. Almost every winemaker has selected 6 wines that, in their opinion, best represent what the winery and the region stand for. This way, you can discover which wine you like and then order a box of that wine.

Do you love wine with a story and enjoy discovering new wines? Through the winemaker subscription, every month you receive a box of 6 bottles from an unknown winemaker. This selection of 6 wines is then accompanied by a digital tasting where the winemaker takes you through the received wines step by step. Shipping Costs
Of course, there are costs associated with getting the wines from the local winemaker to your doorstep. The shipping costs work as follows:
All wine sold via ONWINE comes directly from the winemaker. This means that the winemaker manually packs each order and hands it over to the shipping partner.
To ensure safe delivery, we work with boxes sized for 6 or 12 bottles.
The following shipping costs apply:
It is possible to order from multiple winemakers at the same time. Since the wine comes from different places, the above conditions apply to each winemaker.
The wine comes directly from the winemakers, they send the bottles themselves.
Wine purchased via Onwine comes directly from the winery.
All wineries pack the bottles themselves and hand them over to our shipping partner. Onwine works with boxes the size of 6 or 12 bottles.
To guarantee safe delivery, it is therefore also a requirement that orders are always made in multiples of 6 bottles.
