Product description
The Spätburgunder Rotwein Trocken Gutswein is an elegant and refined top-quality red wine made from the noble Spätburgunder grape - internationally known as Pinot Noir. Known for its finesse, subtlety and aromatic complexity, this grape also requires extreme care in the vineyard and cellar. That dedication results in a wine that is light and fruity, but at the same time rich in structure and character.
The grapes for this cuvée come from the Deidesheimer Nonnenstück vineyard plot, although this origin is not indicated on the label. The harvest took place manually on 9 September 2023 at a must weight of 92° Oechsle. After destemming, the grapes were cold macerated at 8°C and then fermented in open vats for nine days. The wine then matured for 14 months in second-fill 500-litre tonneaux of French oak in the winery's historic vaulted cellar, contributing to its harmonious development and structure.
In the glass, this Spätburgunder shows a classic Burgundy nose with cool notes of sour cherry, refined minerality and a hint of graphite. On the palate, it convinces with soft tannins, a graceful structure and an elegant, fresh finish. A wonderful accompaniment to refined dishes, this wine will please both lovers of classic Pinot Noir and connoisseurs of elegant German red wines.

You can order from several wineries at the same time. The above shipping costs apply to each individual winery.
