The Syrah IGT Terre Siciliane is a red wine made from 100% Syrah that pairs beautifully with meat dishes and a sumptuous drinks board with charcuterie and cheeses.
This wine comes from Sicily and carries the Indicazione Geografica Tipica designation. The wine is produced in the province of Trapani, with vineyards located in Trapani, Mazara del Vallo and Salemi. The climate is typically Mediterranean, characterised by mild winters, limited rainfall and a very hot and well-ventilated summer. The vineyards are located a few metres above sea level and have soils of medium composition, mainly sandy with a slight clayey texture. The grapes are harvested by hand, which is the traditional method.
The wine is produced with the Syrah grape variety and follows traditional vinification methods, including a long maceration at controlled temperatures. The alcohol content is 13.50% vol. The wine has an intense ruby red colour and an enveloping aroma with notes of spice. The taste is warm and balanced, with soft and elegant tannins. The wine goes well with meat dishes, roasted meats and game. For serving, it is recommended to use a Bordeaux-type wine glass, at a temperature between 16°C and 18°C. It is ideal to keep this wine at a constant temperature of 16°C, with controlled light conditions.
