For more than a hundred years the Schiava TITON has been growing on a small piece of land near Maso Rossi in Civezzano, close to where the Counts of Thun have their summer home. The vineyard is maintained using the traditional pergola method, which has been used in Trentino since the early 20th century. Surrounded by some fruit trees and willows, once used to support the vines, this place has a rich history. Each year, the old vine produces grapes of good quality.
This wine is dedicated to great-grandfather Giovanni Battista, known as TITON for his tall stature, and to uncle Romano Andreatta, a lover of wine and a teacher of life.
The good terroir and aging in French oak barrels give the wine a complex flavour of blackberries, cherries, redcurrants and wild strawberries. The wine has an elegant taste, is slim yet firm, and has a pleasant, long finish.
The wine comes directly from the winemakers, they send the bottles themselves.
