The Trebbiano d'Abruzzo DOP is a white wine made from 100% Trebbiano that is best enjoyed when drunk as an aperitif or with antipasti and seafood.
The wine has a deep straw yellow colour and on the nose aromas of almonds and apple. On the palate, it is a persistent wine with pleasant acidity characteristic of the Abruzzo region.
The grapes are picked manually in the third week of September after which they are immediately chilled for a day to make the most of the grape's aromatic profile. The grapes are then refrigerated destemmed and pressed with the skins and stems remaining with the juice for a short period for maceration. The wine is then fermented at chilled temperature for several weeks after which it is moved to cement tanks where it matures for another 5 to 6 months.
The wine comes directly from the winemakers, they send the bottles themselves.
