The Untersteinbach Riesling Trocken 2022 is an exotic, versatile white wine made from 100% Riesling.
The Untersteinbach Riesling 2022 has a light straw yellow color in the glass with medium viscosity. The bouquet is dominated by exotic aromas such as lychee, mango and ripe peach, which come together beautifully on the nose. On the palate, notes of honeydew melon, ripe pineapple and citrus emerge, creating a lively and fresh flavor profile. The fine interplay of acidity and fructose sweetness makes this Riesling a versatile companion to a variety of dishes, and it is also lovely to drink on its own.
This Riesling comes from the Untersteinbacher Gipskeuperlagen and is fully vinified in stainless steel tanks. With an alcohol content of 11.5%, it offers drinking pleasure until 2028, and is best enjoyed at a serving temperature of 6 to 8°C.
The 2022 vintage was marked by drought, but found its balance thanks to rainfall in September. The initially high must weights were well offset by this, resulting in a balanced and expressive Riesling.
The wine comes directly from the winemakers, they send the bottles themselves.
