The jewel in the eye of the Veneto region is the Valpolicella area. The word Valpolicella is a mixture of Greek and Latin and translates to the valley of many cellars. Valpolicella is home to four different wines, the Classico, Ripasso, Amarone, Recioto. These names refer to the production methods. In the Valpolicella package you taste the following six wines.
Le Fradare Valpolicella Classico:This wine is included twice. A beautiful ruby red wine with intensely fruity aromas and an elegant and slightly savoury taste.

I Mostacci Valpolicella Classico Superiore DOC:An intensely ruby red wine with distinct aromas of black cherries and wild berries. Only the best grapes are hand-selected for this Superiore wine.
Il Gabai Valpolicella Classico Superiore Ripasso DOC:Valpolicella Ripasso's consist of the Valpolicella classico and yeast residues of the Amarone wine. These two types of wine together create a second fermentation of the combination and also ensures an increased alcohol content. This wine has a dark red colour with aromas of black pepper and tobacco.
I Monti Recioto della valpolicella Classico DOCG:Recioto della valpolicella is made from dried grapes just like Amarone wines, only Amarone wines are dry wines and Recioto della Valpolicella are sweet wines. This wine is amber in colour with aromas of plums and ripe cherries. On the palate, the wine is sweet but elegant.
Ca Celeste Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG:In Amarone della Valpolicella wines, the grapes are dried for 120 days after harvesting. This ensures that the grape is concentrated with a high sugar content. This method is called Appassimento. This wine has a deep ruby colour with aromas of spices, liquorice and pepper.
