Francone's Valsellera Brut Rosé is an unusual vintage for this region. This region of Piedmont is not necessarily known for its metodo Classico rosés, yet Francone has made a very special one. The Nebbiolo grapes are hand-picked in late summer after which they are fermented with the skin of the grape at 16 degrees Celsius. The wine is bottled in spring and aged in bottle for at least 18 months. With its ruby-red hues and fruity aromas of blackberries and strawberries, it is a very pleasant and fresh wine with an intense aftertaste. The wine goes with almost any dish but is best enjoyed as an aperitif, smoked fish and charcuterie.
The wine comes directly from the winemakers, they send the bottles themselves.
