The Verrenberg Riesling Trocken 2022 is a tropical, long-lasting white wine made from 100% Riesling and also has good aging potential.
The Verrenberg Riesling 2022 presents itself in the glass with a bright golden yellow color and strong viscosity. The aroma is initially subtle, but develops more richly after exposure to oxygen, revealing delicious aromas of peach, pear, lychee, grapefruit and elderflower. This Riesling has a long finish and offers good aging potential, maturing further and becoming even more complex in years to come.
The grapes for this wine came from the excellent vineyards of Goldberg and Verrenberg, and vinification took place entirely in stainless steel tanks. With an alcohol content of 12.0%, this Riesling is a versatile wine that is best drunk at a temperature of 6 to 8°C. It offers drinking pleasure until 2029.
The 2022 vintage initially experienced drought, but found balance thanks to rain in September. The high must weights early in the season were eventually balanced by water retention, resulting in a beautiful, balanced wine.
