The Verrenberg Zweigelt Trocken 2022 is a deep, juicy, powerful red wine made from 100% Zweigelt and is best enjoyed with wild boar, or baked Maultaschen.
The 2022 Verrenberg Zweigelt has a deep, dark ruby red color with violet reflections. The nose offers a rich palette of aromas of dark berries and pickled cherries. On the palate, the juicy and balanced structure of the wine emerges, with a long, powerful finish supported by a subtle saltiness and polished tannins. This is a wine with great aging potential, promising further development in the years to come.
This Zweigelt comes from carefully selected parcels in the Verrenberger Verrenberg and is aged in second occupied barriques. The wine has an alcohol content of 13.0%, is at its best until 2037 and is recommended to drink at a temperature of 18°C.
Vintage characteristics: The 2022 vintage was dry, but finally found balance with rainfall in September, balancing high must weights with improved water retention of the vines.
The wine comes directly from the winemakers, they send the bottles themselves.
