The Vigne Vecchie 50° is a red wine made from 100% Barbera that goes well with pastas, mushrooms and blue cheeses.
In 1987, when the world of Piedmontese wine, and in particular the Barbera grape, was going through one of the most difficult times in its history, the Vinchio Vaglio cooperative decided to declare a new project. The aim was to definitively give up mass production and focus on quality. Thus, the project "Vigne Vecchie" ("old vines") was born to create a flagship wine that could compete with the most prestigious and well-known wines around the world. "Vigne Vecchie" is today one of the flagships of the winery, with many awards in Italy and abroad.After fermentation in steel tanks, the wine goes for a minimum of 14 months in French oak barrels, 1 month in cement tanks and a further minimum of 12 months aging in bottle, before being offered for sale.

The story of the Vinchio Vaglio wine cooperative is a tale of an overwhelming love for quality wine from the inhabitants of two rival villages, where the sun shines all day long. Between the two villages, Vinchio and Vaglio Serra, there was a long-standing rivalry until 19 winemakers from both villages joined forces to form a wine cooperative.
