This Weißburgunder, also called Pinot Blanc in its French origin, is a refined representative of the great Burgunder family. The wine is distinguished by an expressive aroma spectrum in which ripe pear and a hint of melon predominate. Combined with subtle smoky notes, it creates an intriguing and seductive aroma.
Sourced from vineyards with typical buntsandstein processing soils, complemented by lime and loam, this wine reflects its terroir in elegance and structure. The perfectly ripe and healthy grapes were gently pressed after a short skin soaking and fermented in the historic cellar vault, in a traditional double wooden barrel. Thanks to a four-week battonage and maturation on the fine groin in large wood, the wine developed its full texture and depth.
In the glass, it shows a wonderful balance between fresh acidity, juicy structure and a soft Burgundy melt. The mild acidity makes this Weißburgunder particularly versatile at the table: an ideal companion to refined dishes with poultry, asparagus or light fish dishes. With an alcohol content of 11.5%, this is a wine that manages to combine elegance and drinking pleasure in a unique way.
