Podere Pavolini, an idyllic estate with vineyards located on the slopes of the upper Val d'Arda, at the foothills of the Ligurian Apennines towards the Po Valley. The soils of these hills, located in the Colli Piacentini DOC area, have a Pliocene origin, are thick, and rich in fossils, consisting of marl and gray-blue sandy clay.
